Public Involvement

To engage and inform the public about this study, a series of Public Workshops will be held in the community, and two advisory committees have been created and will meet regularly throughout the duration of the study.

Technical Advisory Committee

The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) is comprised of Airport Authority and Air Traffic Control staff as well as representatives from the Federal Aviation Administration, Connecticut Department of Transportation, the City of New Haven, the Town of East Haven, and airport tenants. The role of the TAC is to provide technical information to the study team and confirm data about aircraft operations, flight procedures, and potential future development.

Community Advisory Committee

The Community Advisory Committee (CAC) is comprised of representatives from the public, including residents living near the airport, from both New Haven and East Haven. CAC representatives provide community perspective on noise issues around the airport, share experiences and information about the airport, and provide feedback and suggestions based on individual and collective concerns of surrounding communities. The CAC will also participate in the evaluation of proposed study recommendations.
